Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My ex wife filed her tax return claiming our 10 year old son. It is my year to claim him according to our divorce agreement. Did she break any laws, and if so what can I do?

You need to take her to court and ask that she be held in contempt and get an order requiring her to file an amended return without the exemption.

You can file an order to show cause why she should not be held in contempt of court. You can also protest to the IRS.
