Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Utah

Contract Question??

I signed--name removed--contract about--name removed--month ago to provide--name removed--product I have created to--name removed--company here, of course with certain terms and conditions, the company I signed with has not met all of the conditions the ysaid they would and they have been late doing others even though the contract stipulates they will be completed in--name removed--certain time frame. I have two questions, firstly, isn't there some law or blanket rule saying--name removed--contract can be backed out before 90 days if one of the parties decides to? Secondly, how would I go about telling this company I have this contract with that I am not going to continue with my end of the deal and the contract is null and void?

Re: Contract Question??

The law which you are thinking about allows a party to withdraw within 3 days from a contract when a solicitor approaches a customer in the customer's home. Otherwise the terms of the contract govern withdrawal. If the contract was unconscionable or grossly unfair for some reason you can terminate the contract for that reason. If there is no unlawful or unconscionable clause in the contract, you will be held to the terms of the contract. If you default, you can them be held to the terms of the contract.
