Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Utah

Failure to Appear question

My wife had a speeding ticket that she forgot about and was then arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. I was wondering if that means she will now have a permanent record that she will have to report on job applications and things of that matter. If she will what can we do-if anything-to try to make things better?

Re: Failure to Appear question

It depends on how she was ultimately sentenced. If the failure to appear was not an additional conviction at the misdemeanor level, both are just infractions and do not need to be reported. If it was listed as a misdemeanor, she can get the record expunged.
