Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Utah

HOA and Cable Options

I just bought a townhouse and the HOA requires us to use the cable company they provide. Yet this company charges twice as much as a normal retailer. I've read in the FCC regulations where I could mount a dish on my deck since that is considered my own space. But I'm not sure of the repercussions of this action. What do I need to beware of if I carry through and get my own dish or what can I take to my HOA to show them that I'm able to do this?

Re: HOA and Cable Options

Read the HOA restrictive covenants and agreements, you may want to meet with the HOA committee. You HOA CC&A governs your rights.
