Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Utah

Left with the bill

I helped my ex-girlfriend to purchase a computer. My name is on the bill but she was making payments with her checking account. The bills are sent to my house. She has the computer in her possesion. She has refused to contact me, pick up the bills or pay them for the last 3 months. What are my legal rights in this matter?

Re: Left with the bill

If you signed the contract you are also liable for the debt. If she will not cooperate, your only choice would be to sue her - which you can do in small claims court, which does not require retaining a lawyer.
