Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Utah

Peeing in public

I was with my friend and we were in a parking garage on the lowest level and nobody was around, I had to go to the bathroom really bad (I had been holding it for four hours) So I decided to go in a corner on a bush with nobody around. Later three cops come and start harassing us for mooning in public (which we did not do) and calling us liars, he gave me a ticket for lewdness because I had peeed in public. But there was not people around when I did it, and the property was not public it was privatley owned. Is there anyway I can fight this?

Go to court and plead not guilty. A trial will be scheduled, where you can present you side of the story. If no one saw you, how could the police give you a ticket? This is a misdemeanor, and the police need to witness the crime in order to ticket you.
