Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Utah

personal property

I was in a relationship for five years. The man lived with me on my property for most of that time. Two years ago in January we split up and he moved out. Since then I have contacted him numerous times to tell him that I wanted him to come and get all of his stuff. He came once and got some of it but since then has refused to return my calls concerning the matter and I still have a lot of his stuff. My question is: What is the best way to make him get his stuff? Or is there a time when I can just throw it all out? What is my best option in this instance? Because it is a lot of stuff and I am tired of storing it for someone that has been gone for over two years. I would really appreciate it if you would help. Thank you for your time.

Re: personal property

If you have his address, send him certified notice, return receipt and xx days to pick up his stuff, warning him that if he does not you will dispose of it. If he does not get the stuff within that period, you may dispose of it how ever you see fit. If you only have a telephone number, have a witness when you call him.
