Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Utah

Problems with husband's ex-wife

My husband & I have been married for 10+ years. I have endured many years of harassment from my husband's exwife. She is not and does not plan to ever remarry. I have recently discovered that she is still going by MRS. at her place of employment. She is a school teacher and is addressed as MRS. on a daily basis. I feel this is wrong. She is not married to my husband anymore and is using MY NAME. Is there anything I can do about this?

Re: Problems with husband's ex-wife

There is nothing that you can do about it. First of all it is none of your concern, it is her life and her choice, she is not accountable to you. Second, regardless of the fact that she is divorced, she is entitled to use the prefix Mrs. She got that right when she married and exchanged her maiden name for your husband's last name.

The thing that is wrong here is that you are so concerned about your husband's exwife. Concentrate on making yourself a better, more loving and charitable person, and making your home life a haven of peace and happiness. Let go of the jealousy you have for the ex.
