Legal Question in Immigration Law in Utah

Me and my husband has hired a guy to do the immigration papper work for a green card but i am scared to send it in because i heard he can get 10 years in mexico for coming over illgely the guy that is doing the papyer work said that it is not true my husband has been her over 10 years he has paid taxes and we have 2 kids together so my question is how long will he have to be in mexico and what is the fine

You said that you "hired a guy." That may be the problem right there. These "guys" are often just filling out paperwork without ANY knowledge of the law. I don't know the details of your situation but I assure you that if you invest at minimum in a consultation with an immigration attorney you will know what the legal issues are in your case which is more important than just having the forms filled. If your husband entered the USA without inspection, meaning EWI, he faces a ten year bar to re-entry into the USA if you submit your application to the USA Consulate in Mexico. You must apply for a special waiver and/or see if he is eligible under s. 245(i) for adjustment of status.
