Insurance company is screwing me

Background:

-Signed up for auto insurance Nov 2007

-Accepted option to have notifications by email

-Policy on auto pay

-Spoke with agent Feb 2008, gave new mailing address

I called a few days ago to submit a claim. They said my policy was canceled due to lack of payment. I never received a notice that they had not been able to bill my credit card. They didn't email or call, and sent the letter to the wrong address. Also, they never notified the lien-holder, Chase.

I a pretty sure this is their fault, and I am in a pretty bad situation for not having coverage.
