Legal Question in Insurance Law in Utah
Is Pregnacy a pre-existing condition for Short Term Disability
I am caring twins, I started a new Job. My last Job said that pregnancy was not considered a pre-existing condition any more, that it is now considered an illness. I work for ACS & the health insurance doesn't consider it pre-existiting, but the short term disability does (in the hand book). Can it conflict like this? Did the law change? or did my las Job leave me under the wrong impression? I have to select my bennifits by the end of the month, I am Due Nov 11th.

The conflict is permissible, the health and disability insurance are separate insurance contracts in most cases, and can have different terms.
