Legal Question in Insurance Law in Utah

?

I have a widowed mother who has been recieving death benefits for nearly 23 years. I am one of two children who has been doing alot of travelling with family as well as friends. My question is about the distribution of these funds. These funds have mainly been appropriated for my mothers rent, schooling and possibly car insurance. Am I entitled to recourse in the distribution of these funds? If I was, who should I file with and how would I go about it?

Thankyou

Re: ?

Probably not. Even if there was originally some provision for you to obtain part of the benefit, you would have waived any right to it because of the time lapse between the granting of the benefits 23 years ago and now. You did not indicate who was appropriating these funds. The benefits should be for your mother's personal use, and if she is not competent to manager her affairs a conservator or trustee should manage them on her behalf and for her sole benefit.

Why would you want to take funds from your mother anyway?
