Legal Question in Employment Law in Utah

I have been accused of possiable embezzling at my job because I am having to file bankruptcy. Is this somehing that I should look into?

People that find it necessary to file for bankruptcy are sometimes seen as being in such a state of financial distress that they will do dishonest things to avoid or stave off bankruptcy. Apparently that's the case with your employer. Of course that is just a stereotype or generalization and is probably true of only a few who find bankruptcy necessary or appropriate.

That said, if you have embezzled you should consult with a criminal defense attorney without delay. If you have not it would be good to protect your reputation and job to find out why you have been accused and show them that you have not done anything wrong, that they have no evidence of embezzlement, or even if they do that it was not you or could not have been you.
