Legal Question in Employment Law in Utah

Back overtime pay

I have been working for a company for 3 years (1st year hourly, last 2 years salary). I did not receive overtime pay and I work a minimum of 50 hrs per week. Can I recover the overtime that I worked for these years. I heard that some salaried positions still get overtime pay. I work in Salt Lake City, UT. Just like to know my rights.

Re: Back overtime pay

Generally salaried positions do not qualify for overtime pay. Your wages are guaranteed for the work performed not for the hours worked. If you can do your work in less than 40 hours you would not be "docked" pay either.
