Legal Question in Employment Law in Utah

breaks and lunches

I work fulltime for a company that makes it really hard to get breaks and extremely hard to get lunches. Is there a set amount of hours you must work to be entitles to a lunch. If so how many hours would I have to work in a day to legally be able to take a lunch?

Re: breaks and lunches

You are entitled to a break if you work more than 3 hours, lunch if more than 6.

Re: breaks and lunches

It depends on your status as an employee (e.g., hourly, non-exempt).

Here's a web site for you to look at:

Check with the Utah Labor Commission with the details of your situation.

Good luck.
