Legal Question in Employment Law in Utah
I have a brother in law that worked for my company and was let go for being accused of stealing a little honda 2000 watt generator,, Now the good part of this is that his friend at the time is the one that brought it back to the company once he found out that I knew he had it, so he brought it back and told management that he knew the generator was a stolen one and that he got feeling guilty because he probably knew that it was the company's generator. long story short my brother in law got fired and the one with the fingerprints on it is still working part time at the company, now with that being said, the part time individual has a relationship with someone afiiliated with upper management and he is said to have said that the reason he wants the part time guy to work for the company is that he wants to get him active in the LDS (Mormon) religion. So my question to you is, is there a reverse descrimination suit valid here??

Does not sound like it. Utah has very liberal laws that favor employers. Your brother'e remedy is to get unemployment income.
