Legal Question in Employment Law in Utah
Employment compensation change
Is it legal for a company to change the way it compensates an employee for a job, i.e. going from an hourly wage to a production type wage that slashes the employees compensation in half, yet the company requires the employee to be more productive or they get threatened with losing their job. In other words, they have slashed pay by half yet require more of the employee than before.

Unless you are working under a written contract an employer may change the terms of compensation.
