Legal Question in Employment Law in Utah

After being at a job I love for four years and getting glowing annual evaluations, my boss pulled me in his office. He said that the department has been transferred to another location on the other side of the city, and I would not be coming with them. I have been assigned to yet another location, destination unknown. He didn't know anymore than that. Is this reasonable? Nobody said a thing to be about anything. Can they do this?

Unless you have a contract with the company that prevents this, your employer can do as it pleases, including termination. Your remedy is to take the new position or get another job.
