non-compete agreements broken

My friend worked for a web deisgn business in Utah. She signed a non-compete agreement but didnt know she had. For extra money she started to make web designs on her on PT. She wasnt hidding the fact that she worked somewhere else. And her boss found out and fired her. She has taken down the ads for PT help and the only web site she made she hasnt accepted payment for it. Her boss said that their lawyer would send something in the mail in a couple of days. What should she do?

It depends on the language of the non-compete agreement, and what the employer wants.
