Profanity and volatile personalities in the workplace
Employees are subject to loud outbursts of profanity from management that may actually go on for several minutes or occur several times during a day and, occassionally, this is accompanied by slamming of equipment, etc. I have two questions related to this situation: (1) What can employees reasonably ask management to do to correct this situation and (2) What can management do to prevent related litigation?

The employees can demand that it cease. Such acts may constitute creation of a hostile work environment. The employees may want to file a complaint with the EEOC, which is required before they can engage in a lawsuit.
Management can adopt policies to prevent such situation, including having the perpatrator(s) take anger management and control classes.
