can i quit a contract early?

I recently signed a two-year contract with an employer. The new job has created an extreme amount of anxiety, which has caused many physical symptoms and ailments. Because I am concerned for my health I have asked to be released from the contract. My employer was not understanding or sensitive to my concerns. Can I get out of a contract early because of sickness? It does state such a thing in the contract? How can I do it? And how much notice would I need to give, if any?

Try reading the contract....then your employee handbook or policies and procedures
