Legal Question in Employment Law in Utah
I want to start going to school to become a PTA in Utah, but I don't know if my criminal record is going to hinder me when I apply for licensure. I also don't know how much of it is visible to the background check resource the licensure board will use in this state. I have:
A class A misdemeanor for simple possession of marijuana.
A 3rd degree felony for arson, but this one was a juvenile conviction.
A class B misdemeanor for theft, but I believe this one has been set as "not guilty" because I successfully completed the terms of my plea an abeyance.
How much of this would be visible for the background check company to see (one a state licensure board would typically use), and of the visible charges, are there any that completely interfere with my ability to be accepted for the licensure exam?
