utah labor question

Is it legal for an employer in the

restaurant industry to hold a server

liable for a dine and dash situation

and/or mandate the tipping of the

bar and bus staff? We as servers

still have to claim that money on

out taxes.

If you are the one who collects payment from the diner, you can be held liable for a dine and dash.

If you are required to share your tips with others, you are only liable for the amount of tips which you actually receive.
