Legal Question in Employment Law in Utah
My work has strict policy on fighting. This includes allowing you to protect yourself during an attack. Doing so means dismissal. Can they take away your ability to protect yourself without being fired?

Employers can have rules which prohibit fighting although I don't know what kind of business you're in where that would even be an issue. However, if you're attacked and need to defend yourself, you have the right to do so. If you get fired over that, you may want to look for work elsewhere where being attacked by co-workers isn't, and shouldn't, even be an issue. I suspect you could report that sort of work environment to the state Department of Labor.
