Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Utah
HOA laws
I recently bought a condo, I never recieved a book with all the rules for my HOA. I bought a dog, found out I needed permission . The president told me no I couldn't have one. I asked her for the rules, she told me the HOA does not give copies out. What do I do? I already bought the dog, should I just get the dog since I have no written rules or regulations? Can They fine me? What are my legal rights? I can't just take the president's word.

Re: HOA laws
Have your attorney send a Certified Letter or FAX demanding current copy of Rules & Regulations for the HOA. They will have difficulty enforcing or fining you without provision of those.
