Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Utah
Name on house title
About 8 months ago I put my partner's
name on the house title. I have been living
in the house for 5 years prior. We are
going to break up and I wondered what my
options are. Can I take her name off
without her signing anything? Is she
entitled to get 1/2 the equity in the house?
Please let me know.

Re: Name on house title
What kind of "Partner"? Business partner? Bridge Parnter? Domestic Parnter? Why was the "partner" "added" to the title (by Deed?) Was money exchanged? Business deal? Estate Planning?
You will likely need their signature to remove their interest by Deed or other instrument. Depends on answers to above.
