Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Utah
My landlord changed the locks to my apartment a few weeks ago and it took him until the next day to return my call. My roommate up and moved and he was upset that she hadnt paid her rent and that mine was late. After filing a police report and notifying him of the report, he opened up my home.
Today while I was in the shower, my doorbell rang. While I was getting out and putting on my robe I heard my deadbolt and doorknob unlock and my door open. I was scared and opened my bathroom door enough to see him walk in, look around and then leave and lock the door behind him. I walked to the window to see him walking away.
I am nervous to take a shower or even a nap without blockading my door!!!
Is this legal and what kind of recourse do I have?
I have received no notice of eviction or inspection of property.
I am a single mother of two boys. Please help with some advice!!! Thank you.

Install a chain lock on your door. Tell the landlord that you know he entered your apartment without notifying you. He should only come in after notice.
