Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Utah
Is there any way i can get out of lease with out paying the penalties? My son has been in state custody for breaking the law. He is being released from the program he is in. The courts have ordered us to find a house that has enough rooms that he can have his own separate room. So we have found a new place to live, but we still have 5 months left on our lease. Is there anyway to get out of hte lease do to the court orders?

Not unless the landlord will willingly comply with your request. You may need to get a change to the court order so you have more time.
