Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Utah
Neighbors tenants are a menace.
Hello, I am writing as I own a home that is surrounded by two large apartment buildings which cause me a great deal of grief. The owners of these buildings have recently been in the habit of renting to just about anyone and it has begun to cause me a great deal of grief. I own a wonderful old home on the historic register. I have had to sustain numerous run ins with the lousy tenants of these buildings, such as M-80's (equivalent to 1/4 stick of dynamite) being blown up on my doorstep and a loud partying atmosphere late in the evening. My calls to the owners of these buildings get me nowhere as they just tell me to take it up with the Logan City Police Department, which I have done. I am now thinking of selling my wonderful old home as I do not feel that my family is safe in this environment. (Myself, wife and two young daughters).
Help!

Re: Neighbors tenants are a menace.
Have you gone to your city council rep?
How about neighborhood political group?
Have you talked to a local real estate attorney?
You are looking at selling a valuable asset at a much reduced price, I would want to spend some money before I sacrificed such a resource.
