Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Utah
after renting a house for 5 months our landlord is NOW telling us that we have to pay for the water bill and we just received a water bill that is way past due because he hasent been paying it. our water will be shut off on the 15th if we dont pay. he has also sent us a lease ammendment letter for us to sign saying that we will pay for the water in the winter months. what are my legal rights as a tenent.

Read the lease. If water is not mentioned, one way or the other, you can either agree to pay the water or move out.
