Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Utah

Employee protection

I was at work last week, and we were robbed at gunpoint. In the past month our store has been burglarized twice, and the company still didn't put any security in the store because it's too expensive. And still since the robbery there is not ANY kind of security at all, nor has the company offered us any kind of counselling. I am wondering if we have a case to sue the company for liability and emotional distress?

Re: Employee protection

In order to have such a case, one needs to suffer damages. For emotional distress one needs to show severe upset and distress, lack of sleep or other normal function and some sort of treatment, such as psychiatric care, counseling or medical treatment.

It might be cheaper, smarter and safer to get another job
