Legal Question in Personal Injury in Utah

I was in a car accident only my car was involed a driver in another car came back to where I wrecked my vehicale and started yelling profanity at me I told him to f off and he came around my car and grabbed the back of my neck he then tried to slam my head into the top of my car but I blocked it he then proceeded to grab the front of my neck too choking me so I couldnt breath this went on for some tme his wife or girlfriend yelled at him to let me go an officer was coming he still had ahold of the back of my neck when the oficer pulled up the oficer told him to let me go and he did the guy got arrested and got an alcohol and drug test I was wondering what I can do to get medical and lose of work I want to charge him with tempt of murder cuz he moved my tracial throat to one side and got air in the side wich is very dangerous what charges can I put against him or what are my options

You can press the District Attorney to file criminal charges for his assault. You can also file a civil suit for damages arising from the assault. You should see an doctor as soon as possible to get a medical check up and to see if you have injuries, and if so how severe they are. You may be entitled to damages for doctor bills, lost work, infliction of pain and suffering and punitive damages. You may call for a free consultation.
