I backed up into some ones car that was parked in my driveway without my permission. now they want me to pay

Contact your insurance company and let them handle it. It is pretty hard to beat it if you backed up into them, unless they suddenly pulled in behind you when you were already moving or something. The insurance company will fight it if they think they can win.
