Legal Question in Personal Injury in Utah
personal injury
I have an open and shut case on a personal injury case and the attorneys (2 or 3) are screwing around with the case because everyone in this state works for the people I am going after. Which happens to be the state and a contracted road construction company. I was told this case is worth 2+ million dollars, then as time goes on, it went down to $890,000.00, and now they say only $25,000.00. I have been on disability for 4 and a half years for disc problems in my neck. I can never get anyone from the law firm to call me and let me know what's going on with the case. We were scheduled for trial April 14-16, 1999, now my attorney delayed it again. They all have friends and relatives working for UDOT and Cox Transport. I can not get a fair shake and I feel as if I'm being screwed over by the lawfirms in this state, what do I do? P.S. The companies involved know they did wrong, total gross negligence, Tort action.
Thank You for your time,

Re: personal injury
The story you have told makes it sound as if you
have been highballed, middleballed, and lowballed.
It is impossible to tell from the facts you
reiterated whether you actually were high-,
middle-, or lowballed. The process of
evaluating a case is a complicated one . . . far beyond the scope of this reply.
Further, the continuance of one trial date proves nothing.
Trial courts are often overcrowded and trials
are often postponed to a later date.
With that said, what is your question?
