Legal Question in Personal Injury in Utah

Statute of limitations

What is the statute of limitations for negligent cases? For example if someone was hit in the parking lot of a shopping center how long would they have to bring a law suit against the store owner? Would the person have a case against the store owner, if the cause of the accident was due to someone avoiding pot holes in the parking lot that the owner knew about but did nothing to correct the problem.

Re: Statute of limitations

Generally in Utah the SOL is 4 years from the date of injury. It is possible that you might have a case. A complete review of the facts would be needed.
