Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah

Cops siezing automobiles.

I have three vehicles on my property. one of which is a 67 Chevy Camaro. A deputy came to my house and informed me that the Sheriff, and some of the comissioners have decided that if a vehicle is not registered it is an abandoned vehicle. He says I have ten days to move them or they (the cops) are taking them. He also says the only loop hole is to build a fence so the cars cannot be seen. So my question of course is, can they come onto my property and take vehicles that I have the titles to?

Isn't that called grand theft auto?

Check with the county attorney. The sheriff and commissioners cannot make that arbitrary decision. However, there may be a county statute to that effect. So either register the car or move them behind a fence.
