Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah
eviction and tenant rights
I currently have no contract with my landlord, who is my roommate, and have been paying rent and utilities for ten months. Does he have the right to evict me with only five or six days notice? Can he remove any of my property without my consent?

Re: eviction and tenant rights
You are entitled to 30 days notice, as long as you are not in violation of any agreement - especially payment of rent. If you are in violation of rent or some other material provision, then you can be evicted on a three day written notice. You landlord cannot remove your furniture without notice to you, and then only if you fail to vacate after proper notice.
