Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah

My husband passed away recently. He had two credit cards in his name. Am i responsible for those debts? Can they put a lien on anything with my name on it?

You are not responsible for his debts unless you co-signed or guaranteed them. They cannot file a lien on your property. Send them a copy of the death certificate.

However, if your brother left any assets, those assets should be used to pay his debts.
