Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah

How Long to Vacate premises after notice of Public Sale?

I am a disabled female. Age 44. Unlawfully terminated from the postal service after an on the job injury left me 'unable to do the job for which I was hired'. Due to the trama of losing a job I dearly loved I have been repeatedly denied employment based on the concensus that I am now 'mentally handicapped' which I guess I am. It has been one horror after another. Now my disability payments have been stopped based on an 'interview' with a workmen's comp Dr. that never even touched me, but has now rendered the decision that there is no residulas from the disabling back injury and subseequent mental breakdowns that I have since had. So threrfore,..... no means of support. I am being basically thrown out of my home that has been my only stability for the last 22 years. My chapter 13 has been converted to a chapter 7 or is in the process of so being. i have been notified that the sale of my residencial property will be on Sept. 7th. 2001. Could you tell me please, do I have to be 'out' by then? I have nowhere to go. How long do I have to vacate these premises that have been the only security that I have known throughout this hell.

Sorry about your difficulties. If you have been found to be no longer disabled, reapply at the Post Office for rehire.

As to your house, you do not have to vacate on the day of the sale. Whoever purchases the home at the sale will contact you and normally give you from a few days to up to a month to vacate the property. You should start looking for a new place as soon as possible.
