Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah

mortgage default

I am a co-signer on a mortgage that will likely default. I need to know if Utah is a non-recourse state. I know a foreclosure will negatively affect my credit. With all the talk about help for homeowners, there is not much trickling down to us.

If you are the cosigner, you will be required to pay or be at risk for a lawsuit and judgment.
