Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah
I have the opportunity to become a real estate deal finder for a private investor. In return the investor said he would pay me a finders fee. I looked up Utah real estate laws and I could only find a finders fee law that pertained to a licensed individual paying a finders fee to a unlicensed individual. So my quesion is, since neither I nor the private investor are licensend brockers or real estate agents, can the investor pay me a finders fee legally?
Thanks in advance for insight you might provide.

He can pay you a finders fee. Make sure you have an agreement in writing that details when the fee is payable and all terms.
