I own a piece of property equally with my 2 siblings. How do we go about dividing the property and titles?

Assuming the property is in Morgan county you may need to create a minor subdivision to divide the property so that both parcels can be developed. This is preferred so that any one of you could build a home on the property or sell it for someone else to develop.

If none of the siblings want to develop the property, you can have a legal description prepared for each parcel, and have the new deeds signed and recorded. This is your least favorable option because it may make any future development of the property difficult if not impossible.

You may call for a free consultation.
