Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah

Problem with house not disclosed

I purchased a house last October where the seller signed a non-occupancy disclosure. In talking to the neighbor, the seller told her he knew there was water under the house in the crawl space, but never disclosed to us. We also had a home inspection and the inspector didn't catch the active water source. My sump pump has run 24/7 since I bought it and the moisure is rotting my floor in my bathroom, causing my grout to crack and not mold and mildew is growing up through the baseboards. What are my options on getting this taken care of. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Problem with house not disclosed

Sue the seller and the inspector for failure to disclose. You are entitled to the amount it would take to resolve the problem. You may call for a free consultation.
