Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah
quit claim deed
Can my husband have me removed from a quit claim deed for our property because I am disabled and therefore not a ''natural person.'' Or, since he got the property as a single man, and can claim it as corporate property, can this be done when a loan is assigned, sold, or transferred when a substitute lender takes over. He paid off a 31 year loan in 3 years, and then immediately took out a 3 year balloon in amt $188,000, that is due in April. And he has left - wedding ring on table - all funds backed out. He was able to sign for the last loan by himself without my signature and the whole $188,000 was put in his personal checking and savings and thereafter transfered such that it is impossible to trace. My signature was on the first Deed of Trust, which they made him do the Quit claim for before they would sign otherwise. He did not want to. Am I just having a bad dream, or is this really possible, and if so, is there any recourse I can take?
Thanks so very much.

Re: quit claim deed
If your name was on the title, he cannot have it removed. You are a natural person, whether or not you are disabled. One is either a natural person or a corporate person. You clearly need to talk to an attorney who can see the documents and tell you what has happened.
