Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah

Real Estate Sale Contract

If a Real Estate Sales Contract has been signed but I have not received any Earnest Money (The contract shows 500.00 but I never received anything)is it legally binding or do I have the right to change my mind because I have never received any money to make it a true and complete contract?

Re: Real Estate Sale Contract

You did not state whether a real estate agent, broker or title company has received the $500. If the buyer never paid the earnest money contract you can make a demand in writing for performance by a certain - and near - date. If the money is not paid by that date then you can consider the contract void.
