we recently purchased a homein salt lake utah we have been in it for 2 weeks flooding basement bue to tree roots that have grown threw the pipes we signed a FHA home loan which is my understanding that the house has to be in liveable conditions the house is not since we canot shower without sewage coming up threw the downstairs shower as well as black mold in the home since the house is in my mind condemable and we were not the cause of the situation cant we get out of the house and the whole mess we havent even paid our first mortgage payment. please help.we are looking at 12thousand for pipe repairs and i have no idea what the cost will be to remove the mold

Generally the seller needs to indemnify you from the cost of repairs, meaning if the seller knew of should have know of the problems, the seller must pay for the repairs. If the house is uninhabitable you may be entitled to a rescission (return of your money and cancellation of the sale.) There are some exceptions.
