Does a landlord have to give you any notice in raising the rent?

Generally a lease is signed for a period of months. At the end of the lease you can stay on a month to month basis. After the lease or during a month to month tenancy your rent can be raised without notice - although usually 10-30 days notice is given - but it is not required.
