Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah
RV and Property Joint Ownership Rights
I am joint owner in a 5th wheel and some Rv property with someone and our relationship has ended. He wants to bring the 5th wheel to Utah from Wyoming and put it in storage and we are going to try to sell both. We are both listed as joint owners on the RV title and property deed. I will not have access to the 5th wheel if he moves it. I want the 5th wheel to remain in Wyoming but he has the truck and hitch and is going to move it this weekend. What rights do I have regarding being able to stop him from moving it, and if I can't then knowing where it is at and having the right to inspect it throughout the winter.

Re: RV and Property Joint Ownership Rights
You can't stop him from moving it, but you are entitled to equal access. You can go get it or can inspect or use it as you wish. If he prevents it, he is violating your rights. You should have had an agreement which discusses these matters when you bought the property. Now your "partnership" is governed by the Wyoming or Utah partnership statues- depending on which state law governs your agreement.
