Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah
I was talking on the phone outside an office building that is right next door to my office building.
I just wanted a bit of privacy and to get out of the wind. So I stood in a corner outside the building which shielded me from the wind. It was near the front door. A man then came out and said I was an annoyance. He said that he didn't want to see me near their building anymore. I have no idea if he is the property owner or not. There was no sign that I saw that said no trespassing... I mean it's an office building. Is that against the law? Can i no longer be near their building?

You may stand on public property near a building. If the property is private, you can be asked to leave.
