Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah
We own a timeshare that we want to get rid of. We have tried selling it, but with no luck. What is the worst that could happen if we just "walked away" from it. We have paid off our credit cards and we owe 9 more years on our home, and then we will be debt free. Would it really matter if we ruined our perfect credit (up to this point) ?

They can sue you for the balance on the contract, if they get judgment they get a lien against your home, possibly can garnish your income. Better pay it or continue to attempt to sell.
